To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have experience in Commercial and Personal lines Property claims. Some Auto experience is an asset, along with the following competencies:

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Equivalent education and experience considered
  • Ongoing commitment to learning
  • Strong analytical skills, including cause-and-effect analysis
  • Good investigative skills
  • Ability to interpret complex legal documents and perform advanced numerical calculations
  • Adjuster’s license or completion of at least the first four CIP courses:
  • C11: Principles and Practice of Insurance
  • C12: Insurance on Property
  • C13: Insurance Against Liability—Part 1
  • C14: Automobile Insurance—Part 1
  • C110: Essentials of Loss Adjusting (preferred)
