Intermediate/Senior Property Claims Adjuster - Full Time, Remote (Anywhere in Canada)

The Independent Adjuster actively manages claims while exploring business development opportunities, involving marketing and follow-up in a timely manner. This role requires well-honed organizational skills to manage daily activities efficiently and effectively progress file management.
To succeed, the ideal candidate should have a background and experience in Property claims.
Responsibilities:
- Prompt contact and follow-up with policyholders and claimants.
- Investigate causes and report findings with recommendations.
- Use supplied technology (e.g., Docusketch) to scope and establish damages.
- Identify exposures, recommend reserves, investigate exposures, prepare action plans, and negotiate settlements.
- Provide high-level customer service throughout the claims process.
- Perform duties in compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
Minimum Educational & Knowledge Requirements:
- High school diploma; university or post-secondary education related to insurance preferred.
- Ongoing commitment to education, preferably pursuing CIP designation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive).
Experience:
- Prior property claims adjusting experience in desktop or field settings.
- Equivalent education and experience considered.

- Strong analytical skills, including cause-and-effect analysis.
- Ability to interpret complex legal documents and perform advanced numerical calculations.
- Organizational skills to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities.

- Proficiency with computers and current technology.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ property claims adjusting experience.
- Commitment to ongoing education.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Ability to interpret complex legal and numerical data.
- Alberta Level 1 adjuster’s license or pursuing CIP designation.
