Reports to : Team Lead or Engineering Manager

Based at : Regional Office

Position Purpose : Working closely with the Project Manager and Project Engineer, assisting on various projects, and contributing to the technical capability and production requirements of the Service Line. Provides exceptional customer service and coordination with internal and external project partners (clients, architects, consultants, contractors, etc.).

Responsibilities Include :

  • Write reports that require minimal editing.
  • Coordinate with all Service Lines, extract and relay relevant information for complex problems.
  • Maintain knowledge of building codes.
  • Assist with fee proposals by assessing time required for project tasks.
  • Operate independently on routine projects.
  • Review and help complete complex mechanical systems drawings.
  • Complete project phases within budgeted time.
  • Guide and lead junior team members, reviewing drawings and ensuring standards are met.
  • Contribute to quality control improvements.
  • Share expertise across offices.
  • Prepare technical designs for mechanical systems such as HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Sprinkler, Fire Suppression, and Fuel systems.
  • Select equipment and components to meet system goals.
  • Resolve construction conflicts and technical issues with contractors.
  • Conduct site reviews, writing reports of observations and conclusions.
  • Uphold WE Purpose and Core Values.
  • Adhere to company and safety policies and practices.
  • Apply for Federal security clearance as needed for institutional projects.

Education & Experience :

  • Graduate of a 1-2 year technical certificate/diploma in Mechanical Technology.
  • 4–6 years of experience.
  • Possibly hold or be working towards a C.E.T. or R.E.T. designation.

Skills & Capabilities :

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, respectful of diverse perspectives, with clear communication.
  • Proficient in WE systems and programs including MS Office 365, SharePoint, Deltek Vision, AutoCAD, Revit MEP.
