Qualifications

We are currently seeking a skilled Intermediate / Senior Mechanical Designer with experience in the industrial, mining or related industries to join our dynamic team in Sudbury. In this role, you will collaborate closely with both owners and contractors, applying your expertise to deliver innovative solutions across a range of high-impact projects.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the design team on 3D model and drawing development.
  • Contribute insights to project estimates and proposals.
  • Review drawings & other engineering documents.
  • Create and revise Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Maintaining an organized CAD library.
  • Develop practical solutions for challenges in industrial or mining settings.
  • Complete field work, primarily in industrial or mining settings.
Qualifications
  • Mechanical engineering technician diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in engineering consulting environment.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks and 3D modelling. Experience in Microstation an Asset.
  • Strong command of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership abilities demonstrated through employment experience.
  • Strong analytical, computer, and problem‑solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Valid Class G drivers license.
