Your role:

As an iOS Developer at Global Relay, you’ll use leading-edge technologies to build innovative products used globally by tens of thousands to solve real-world business problems. You will work on user experience and interface design, pushing the boundaries of mobile app development.

This role offers collaboration with talented mobile developers in an environment that encourages creativity and autonomy. Our development teams are small, focused, and agile. You will be challenged to learn new technologies such as TCA and SwiftUI, and to apply your skills across multiple projects. We value clean, well-tested, performant, and secure code.

Your responsibilities:

• Work within an agile team to develop iOS applications for enterprise services
• Write automated tests for your code
• Design user interfaces and software in collaboration with product and UX teams
• Design system architectures with the architecture team
• Develop test cases with SDETs
• Document code and designs
• Collaborate on user stories with product owners
• Support production systems
• Share knowledge with colleagues

About you:

• 2-5+ years of experience with native iOS app development using Swift
• Strong problem-solving skills and passion for technical challenges
• Understanding of computer science principles
• Solid grasp of OOP, SOLID, design patterns, algorithms
• Architectural knowledge (TCA, Redux, FRP, MVVM) and commitment to clean, modular, testable code
• Expertise in SwiftUI, UIKit, Foundation, concurrency, dependency injection
• Experience with source control and REST APIs
• Ability to debate technical approaches and work independently
• Ownership mindset and drive to build remarkable products
• Customer-focused and data-informed decision making
• Positive attitude, proactive, team-oriented

Nice to have:

• Objective-C experience
• Open source contributions
• Published apps in the App Store
• Post-secondary education in CS or related fields
• Knowledge of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines

Compensation:

We comply with British Columbia’s pay transparency laws. Salary is based on experience, skills, and education. The expected annual base salary ranges from $80,000 to $130,000 CAD, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including health, wellness, vacation, bonuses, and RRSP matching. Vancouver-based employees receive a subsidized meal program.
