Job summary

Egis Canada is seeking an experienced Intermediate/Senior Groundwater Modeller to join our team in Canada. You will work on projects with hydrogeological modelling components, from dewatering predictions to solute transport, and help validate and review models within a collaborative team of hydrogeologists and engineers.

We value 5+ years in hydrogeology, proficiency with MODFLOW/FEFLOW/HYDRUS and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in hydrogeology preferred; geology or engineering with 5+ years hydrogeology experience considered.
• Minimum 5+ years related experience in hydrogeology and groundwater modelling.
• Proficient in data analysis, statistical analysis, data summary and report preparation.
• Knowledgeable of industry-standard hydrogeologic tools and applications such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, SEEP/W, HYDRUS, HydroGeoSphere.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer or Professional Geoscientist in Canada.
• Mining sector experience is an asset.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and talented Intermediate / Senior Groundwater Modeller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be involved in a variety of projects that have a hydrogeological modelling component, from groundwater dewatering predictions to solute transport modelling and more. The successful client will support and be involved in model validation and review activities. You will be working with a team of hydrogeologists, water resources engineers, geochemists, and modelling specialists to solve complex problems.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

A graduate degree in hydrogeology is preferred; however, a degree in geology or engineering with more than five years hydrogeology experience can be considered.

• Minimum 5+ years related experience in hydrogeology and application of groundwater modelling.
• Proficient in data analysis, statistical analysis, data summary, and report preparation.
• Knowledgeable of industry standard hydrogeologic tools and applications such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, SEEP/W, HYDRUS, HydroGeoSphere.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer or Professional Geoscientist in Canada.
• Experience in Mining Sector an asset.
