Ecora is seeking a Geotechnical Design Engineer to join their expanding Geotechnical Group. The position will be based in Toronto, Ontario, supporting our growing workload in the BC Interior, Alberta, and Ontario. We are looking for a candidate proficient in project management, geotechnical characterization, embankment design, and stability modeling. Practical site investigation and construction experience, client liaison skills, and the ability to prepare technical memos and geotechnical reports are highly desirable.
Ecora's Geo-Hydro Group has extensive experience in geotechnical and hydrotechnical services supporting infrastructure projects, commercial structures, dam engineering, and residential subdivision construction. We provide consulting services to provincial government agencies including the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, BC Hydro, FortisBC, BC Ministry of Forests, BC Housing, municipalities, First Nation communities, architects, developers, and contractors across British Columbia. Our Geotechnical Engineering Group is supported by a CCIL-certified materials testing laboratory.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in civil or geological engineering and at least 7 years of related work experience. Candidates must be registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer in BC. Travel across Canada may be required.
