Stantec in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia is seeking an experienced Electrical Technologist to join a multidisciplinary team. You will assist in designing building electrical systems, prepare contract drawings, and produce REVIT MEP drawings while reviewing equipment selections and performing preliminary calculations.
The role supports multiple project types across Canada with flexible on-site presence and remote work as required, offering collaboration with engineers and a focus on quality deliverables.
An opportunity exists in Stantec's Dartmouth, NS office for a highly motivated Electrical Technologist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role you will be responsible working with an engineer towards the design and execution of projects ranging in size and complexity, with a focus on municipal, federal, industrial, healthcare, commercial and educational projects. Stantec offers a flexible work environment where staff are equipped with the required hardware and software to effectively work remote from the office when required. A minimum office presence is expected to support project quality, collaboration, and learning.
Diploma of Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited program required.
Minimum of 8 years of design experience in a consulting engineering environment is required.
Experience in electrical and communications design for building environments would be an asset.
Experience creating tender document packages, including detailed drawings and specifications would be considered an asset. Typical office environment working with computers for long periods of time. Ability to travel within Atlantic Canada 1‑2 times per month would be an asset.
