Electrical Designer/Engineer – Intermediate to Senior Level
Full-Time | On-Site | Salary: $100k+ (based on experience)

About the Opportunity
An established and respected engineering consulting firm is currently seeking an Intermediate to Senior Electrical Designer to join their growing team. This role is fully on-site and ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, detail-driven environment and is looking to make an impact on a variety of high-performance building projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and mixed-use building projects
  • Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and specifications using industry-standard software
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
  • Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams as well as external consultants
  • Attend site visits, client meetings, and contribute to project coordination
  • Participate in design reviews, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to value engineering
  • Mentor junior team members and provide input on technical standards and best practices

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design for commercial and/or industrial buildings
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant electrical design tools
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and building systems
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • CET/EIT designation or P.Eng.
