Intermediate/ Senior Civil Technician/ Technologist

GEMTEC is a growing firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and in Ontario, and we are looking for a motivated and skilled Intermediate / Senior Civil Technician / Technologist to join our Team. We are seeking a full-time Intermediate / Senior Civil Technician / Technologist in our Fredericton office.

The successful candidate will have the following:

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
• Experience as a Civil Technician or Technologist.
• Project management experience, civil design, and field inspection will be considered assets.
• PTech. or CET certification or ability to become certified will be considered an asset.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D will be considered assets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Aptitude for independent work.

Main Duties:

• Develop project objectives, schedules, and budgets, then monitor progress against established plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities and deliverables.
• Perform field inspections to assess project sites, identify potential issues, ensure project compliance with plans and specifications, and write inspection reports.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their project needs and expectations.
• Communicate project updates, milestones, and potential issues to clients in a clear and professional manner.
• Adhere to all company policies.
• Other duties as required.

Position:

• Full time (37.5 hours per week)
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• The successful candidate will be located in Fredericton, NB.
