Who are we looking for?

Our Western Canada Transportation Team seeks an Intermediate Roadway Engineer with experience in design, coordination, and project management. This role can be based in Calgary, Edmonton, or Vancouver.

The Transportation Group within GHD Canada collaborates with various municipalities and partners on projects across highways, roads, bridges, transit, and multi-modal infrastructure, providing services from policy and planning to design and construction administration.

This position involves:

1. Participating in and completing transportation projects under senior guidance
2. Overseeing or producing design work in an integrated 3D environment
3. Applying technical knowledge to solve complex problems
4. Leading defined scope of work as a technical lead
5. Coordinating with internal teams and external agencies
6. Contributing to proposal development
7. Mentoring junior team members

Candidates should have experience in creating conceptual and detailed design models, project coordination, team collaboration, and proficiency with tools like Civil 3D and AutoTURN. A background in geometric design principles and experience with project delivery are preferred.

Required qualifications:

• 5-10 years in transportation
• Post-secondary Civil Engineering education
• PE/Technologist registration or eligibility in Alberta or BC

Salary Range: $79,200 - $118,000, depending on experience.
