Job description

We are looking to add an Intermediate Product Reliability Data Analyst to our Field Services team in Vancouver, Canada. Reporting to the Team Lead - Reliability, this role is responsible for improving the overall reliability and robustness of MineSense products and solutions. An ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter that enjoys developing innovative solutions.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Manages and improves an internal reliability measurement tool/system with defined KPI’s and metrics.
  • Works cross-functionally to support reliability related initiatives through the provision of analysis and data insights.
  • Conducts moderately complex data analysis to identify potential failure modes and predict trends for MineSense systems.
  • Gathers, analyzes and interprets product reliability data from manufacturing stages and products in the field, through a variety of appropriate methods.
  • Reports high granularity data on individual product components in collaboration with the Data, Operations, Field Services, and Engineering Teams.
  • Identifies continuous improvement opportunities for collecting and reporting of reliability data on products and components, then communicates these opportunities to relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinates field services requirements, reporting of reliability data on products and components.
  • Supports reliability leadership with the development of team best practices and assists with educating team members on their application.
  • Additional duties as occasionally required by your manager.
Qualifications:
  • Generally, a 4-year degree/Bachelor's degree specialized in a relevant discipline. Example- Reliability Engineering, data analysis or related qualification & certification.
  • Generally, 2-4 years in a data analysis-focused role, with reliability and mining/technology experience being preferred.
  • Experience in SQL, Python, and mathematical/reliability tools is preferred.
  • Experience in statistics and data analysis is preferred.
  • Experience with statistical survival/failure analysis is an asset.
  • Experience with time series analysis is an asset.
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate in English, knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Experience working in Microsoft 365.
  • Health & Safety conscious individual.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.

$90,000 - $100,000 a year

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be based on their experience, knowledge and skills they bring to MineSense, market data based on their location as well as internal equity. Keeping this mind, the salary offered can be outside of the range posted.
