Responsibilities

Overview

Our client is seeking an Intermediate IT Project Manager for a short-term contract engagement to support multiple active client initiatives. This role will manage 3–4 concurrent client projects and is responsible for driving execution, maintaining momentum, and ensuring clear communication across stakeholders. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced consulting-style environment. This individual will take ownership of project coordination, documentation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure projects move forward efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Project Initiation & Planning

• Review client Statements of Work (SOWs) and translate them into structured project deliverables.
• Develop professional client-facing slide decks to support project kick-offs and ongoing status updates.
• Lead and facilitate project kick-off meetings with clients and internal teams.
• Develop project charters outlining scope, objectives, stakeholders, risks, assumptions, and success criteria.
• Create high-level project plans and timelines aligned to SOW commitments.

Project Execution & Coordination

• Manage 3–4 concurrent client engagements.
• Drive projects forward by ensuring tasks are clearly defined and assigned.
• Conduct regular check-ins with assigned technical and functional resources.
• Ensure resources have the information, tools, and support required to meet deliverables.
• Monitor timelines and proactively address blockers or risks.
• Provide concise status updates to internal leadership and clients as required.

Stakeholder & Client Communication

• Act as a primary point of contact for project coordination.
• Maintain professional, organized, and clear communication with client stakeholders.
• Ensure expectations are aligned regarding scope, timelines, and deliverables.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience managing IT or technology-focused projects.
• Must be fluent in French
• Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments.
• Strong experience developing project documentation including charters, project plans, and executive-ready slide decks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong facilitation skills for kick-offs and stakeholder meetings.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a part-time contract capacity.

Preferred

• PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience translating SOWs into actionable project plans.
• Familiarity with common PM tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, etc.).
