We are looking to bring onboard a motivated Intermediate Mechanical Technologist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality projects for our clients. This role requires collaboration with other discipline designers and engineers, and other cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, improve design processes, and ensure designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and customer needs.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

1. Review client RFPs, technical specifications and requirements in terms of mechanical and piping design principles and requirements.
2. Provide input to budgets and schedules for project proposals.
3. Prepare mechanical and piping system design documentation.
4. Review, and mark-up contractor and supplier submittals and shop drawings.
5. Interact with other discipline teams (process instrumentation and controls, structural, civil, electrical), as well as internal and external clients to coordinate and achieve project objectives within the assigned budget and schedule.
6. Train and mentor less experienced team members and provide input to employee performance evaluations.
7. Suggest improvements to existing processes/procedures/standards to technical leads to execute tasks more efficiently and effectively.
8. Be the Technical Lead/Project Lead Drafter for complex/multiple discipline projects and medium sized, moderately complex projects.
9. Proactively identify scope deviations and promptly advise the project team of impact against current working agreements.
10. Communicate progress on specific tasks, and report on issues that may arise that could cause delays/obstacles in a timely manner.
11. Assist senior team members to drive quality of deliverables and enforce client standards for more junior team members.
12. May be required to have client contact under the supervision of Supervisor, Project Director or Project Manager.
13. Network with Young Professionals in the local area.

What you will bring to the team:

1. CET Designation.
2. Minimum of 6 years of experience within a range of industries including water, wastewater, storm water, renewable natural gas, hydrogen, agricultural, food and beverage, power generation, co-generation and industrial facility facilities.
3. Familiarity with BIM 360, ACC Revit, AutoCAD, Revizto and Navisworks or similar 3D coordination tools.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English to be able to effectively express technical information to multiple audiences including clients, contractors, and field staff.
