Worley is seeking Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer based in Kincardine, Ontario with experience in Nuclear Power Plant Industries. You will work under the supervision of the Design Team Lead and will work well with the rest of the project team and customer while upholding Worley’s standards for safety and technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

Perform and assist mechanical design and engineering tasks for nuclear projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Prepare and review design packages, specifications, and technical reports related to mechanical systems.

Support modifications and upgrades to existing nuclear facilities, including equipment selection and system integration.

Conduct engineering calculations and analysis to validate design solutions.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and technical accuracy.

Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and constructability evaluations.

Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.

Ensure adherence to CSA N299, CSA N285 and ASME Section III codes and standards in design and implementation.

What you will bring:

Technical and Industry Experience:

Experience working on Bruce Power projects, with knowledge of nuclear industry regulations and best practices.

Familiarity with mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, HVAC systems, fire protection systems, and piping systems.

Proficiency in engineering software for design, modeling, and analysis.

Understanding of nuclear safety principles and quality assurance requirements.

Ability to interpret and apply CSA N299, CSA N285 and ASME Section III code and standards in mechanical engineering tasks.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum requirement).

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario.

Additional certifications or training in nuclear engineering or mechanical design are considered an asset .

Required:

Active Bruce Power Security Clearance is an advantage.
