Job summary

BBA Consultants in Calgary is seeking a Mechanical & Piping Engineer to support proposals, engineering design, and execution of plant and field projects across energy, carbon capture, and chemical sectors. The role offers exposure to technically challenging work and growing client interaction and project coordination responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering degree and registration with APEGA (or eligibility).
  • 3–7 years in mechanical/piping engineering, ideally in energy, petrochemical, or chemical industries.
  • Familiarity with codes and standards; experience with pressure vessels, piping, and mechanical equipment selection/design; knowledge of material selection.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Navisworks, and CAESAR II.

  • Contribute to building and maintaining client relationships by understanding project needs and delivering quality work.

About The Role

We are seeking a Mechanical & Piping Engineer to support proposals, engineering design, and the execution of plant and field projects — primarily within the Energy, Carbon Capture, and Chemical sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of technically challenging projects, while gradually taking on more responsibility in client interaction and project coordination.

Your Qualifications
  • Education & Membership: Mechanical Engineering degree and registration with APEGA (or eligibility).
  • Experience: 3–7 years in mechanical/piping engineering, ideally in energy, petrochemical, or chemical industries.
