Job summary

Magellan Aerospace Corporation in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is seeking an Intermediate Manufacturing Engineering Planner to join our team on a full-time basis.

You will introduce new components and technologies into production, develop processes, and collaborate across departments to ensure high quality and cost efficiency. This role requires hands-on shop floor involvement and process documentation.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology; OR equivalent industry experience.
• 3–6 years of related manufacturing experience.
• Experience with sheet metal, machining, hydraulics/pneumatics, composites, heat treating, forming.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications; CINCOM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Introduce new components and technologies into production to support cost-effective, high-quality products.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes; prepare detailed process instructions.
• Collaborate with internal/external contacts on product definition, tooling, inspection, scheduling, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
• Create and maintain product definition, tooling, process certification, and shop order routings.
• Investigate and disposition non-conformances; provide shop floor liaison for technical resolutions.

• Introducing new components and technologies into production in support of cost effective, high quality products.


• Developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, and preparing detailed process instructions to define the manufacturing processes.


• Working with internal and external contacts on matters concerning product definition, tooling, inspection, scheduling, corrective actions, and continuous improvements.


• Creating and maintaining product definition, tooling, process certification, and shop order routings.


• Investigating and dispositioning non-conformances.


• Providing shop floor liaison for resolution of technical matters.

Position Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology; OR equivalent industry experience.


• Minimum of 3 to 6 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.


• Experience in sheet metal detail manufacturing, machining components, pneumatic and hydraulic hardware/systems, composite manufacturing, heat treating and forming operations.


• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications.


• Experience using CINCOM would be considered an asset.
