Job summary

Magellan Aerospace is seeking an Intermediate Manufacturing Engineering Planner for our Winnipeg, Manitoba site. The role focuses on introducing new components and technologies into production, and on developing optimized processes with detailed instructions to ensure cost-effective, high-quality outputs.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years in manufacturing, with experience in sheet metal, machining, pneumatics/hydraulics, composites, and heat-treating. Proficiency in CINCOM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Introduce new components and technologies into production.

• Collaborate with internal/external contacts on product definition and tooling.
• Create and maintain product definitions, tooling, and routings.
• Investigate and disposition non-conformances; provide shop-floor liaison.

Magellan Aerospace has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time permanent Intermediate Manufacturing Engineering Planner at our manufacturing hub in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Essential Responsibilities

• Introducing new components and technologies into production in support of cost effective, high quality products.
• Developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, and preparing detailed process instructions to define the manufacturing processes.
• Working with internal and external contacts on matters concerning product definition, tooling, inspection, scheduling, corrective actions, and continuous improvements.
• Creating and maintaining product definition, tooling, process certification, and shop order routings.
• Investigating and dispositioning non-conformances.
• Providing shop floor liaison for resolution of technical matters.

Position Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering Technology; OR equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 3 to 6 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in sheet metal detail manufacturing, machining components, pneumatic and hydraulic hardware/systems, composite manufacturing, heat treating and forming operations.
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using CINCOM would be considered an asset.
