Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Winnipeg is seeking an Intermediate / Junior Civil Engineer to manage various water conveyance and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in design, management, and construction supervision. Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in engineering including design, management, and construction supervision.
  • Experience with hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology.

Job description

Description:

The successful candidate will use their technical and management skills to deliver a wide variety of water conveyance and other infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Civil or Environmental Engineering,
  • Registration with EGM as an Engineer (P.Eng., or E.I.T.),
  • 5 years (+/-) experience in engineering including design, management, construction supervision, and project management. Preferably for water resource related projects.
  • Experience completing hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology as well as use of hydraulic modeling software is desirable.
  • Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering,
  • Coordination, supervision, mentoring, and management of junior engineers and technologists,
  • Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents,
  • Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties,
  • Work closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are met.
