Intermediate I&E Engineers/Technologists - Edmonton

We are seeking experienced Intermediate Instrumentation and Electrical Engineers/Technologists to join our team in Edmonton, AB.

About InnoTech Engineering

InnoTech specializes in Operational Technology (OT), including instrumentation, electrical, and automation infrastructure. Our team of skilled engineers, technologists, and technicians handles a wide range of OT projects and supports facility operations. Our services include Controls (PLC, DCS, SCADA), Electrical (low and medium voltage), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and OT Lifecycle Planning and Cybersecurity.

Position Summary

In this role, you will develop electrical, instrumentation, and control designs to deliver projects successfully. You will work with our experienced team to apply industrial process automation technology. We value ownership, teamwork, inquiry, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
2. Prepare conceptual engineering solutions, including scope, cost, and planning.
3. Create electrical, instrumentation, and control designs/drawings, such as control panels, loop drawings, network architecture, and electrical calculations.
4. Interpret P&IDs for electrical and instrumentation purposes.
5. Support on-site information gathering, construction, and commissioning.
6. Participate in panel inspection and testing.
7. Provide technical support and oversee junior staff's deliverables.
8. Adhere to all HS&E requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Degree or diploma in electrical or instrumentation engineering.
2. At least 4 years of industry experience.
3. Eligibility or registration as an EIT with APEGA or as a T.T. with ASET.
4. Strong communication skills, teamwork, accountability, and a questioning attitude.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
6. Willingness to travel (~10%).
7. Valid Class 5 driver’s license and legal work entitlement in Canada.
