Job Description

Your role within the team:
  • Prepare procurement engineering documentation such as Engineering Quotation Requests, other procurement requisition, and Tender Technical Evaluation.
  • Act as the Point of Contact to liaise with the different Engineering stakeholders in handling supplier technical queries pre and post contract award.
  • Lead the review process of supplier engineering documents within engineering disciplines, ATRL subsidiaries, partners, and clients.
  • Provide technical support to engineering, quality, and procurement stakeholders to analyze technical requirements, vendor provided documentation and drawings. Provide weekly progress report to the procurement engineering manager.
  • Initiate Design Deviation Requests, Design Change Instructions, and other technical scope changes, and ensure they are approved by all stakeholders.
  • Ensure procurement engineering packages comply with the applicable procedures, codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Assist in preparation of equipment and components technical specifications, bills of material, and datasheets.

The ideal candidate:
  • BS Honors degree in a relevant field of I&C/Electrical engineering from a university of recognized standing.
  • Registered, or eligible to register with Professional Engineers Ontario
  • Minimum of three years of practical experience in instrumentation and control system design and procurement.
  • Familiarity with applicable I&C design standards and codes.
  • Engineering experience in the nuclear industry is an asset.
  • Field engineering and implementation experiences are assets.
  • Sound knowledge of basic and fundamentals of Instrumentation, controls and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office-related software applications, i.e. Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Adaptability to change and thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be "Team" oriented with a demonstrated ability to work well with other and promote a positive work environment.
  • Good fluency and proficiency in communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Travel to client job sites is required.
  • Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
