WSP in Whitehorse, Yukon is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join the Ground Engineering and Materials team. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus.
• Registration as an EIT in Canada with relevant consulting experience.
• Minimum three years of Geotechnical or Geological Engineer-in-training experience.
• Valid Canadian driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in field programs including borehole drilling, test pitting, in situ testing, instrumentation installation, and construction monitoring.
• Analyze geotechnical data to develop recommendations for foundations, earthworks, pavements, and slope stability.
• Prepare clear technical reports such as investigations, design briefs, and construction documentation.
• Provide geotechnical input to multidisciplinary teams and support data-driven solutions.
• Mentor junior staff in field methods, analysis techniques, and safety practices.
• Build client relationships through responsive engineering advice.
• Support QA, project coordination, and continuous improvement in geotechnical practice.

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 – $ 102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 – $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $69,900 – $92,900
