WSP is seeking a highly motivated Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our Ground Engineering and Materials Team in Prince George, BC. Your work will blend field assignments with office-based analysis and design on a wide range of geotechnical projects throughout British Columbia and the Yukon. Your Impact

• Lead and participate in field programs including borehole drilling, test pitting, in situ testing, instrumentation installation, and construction monitoring.
• Analyze geotechnical and geological data to develop recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, earthworks, pavements, and slope stability.
• Prepare clear, defensible technical reports such as investigations, design briefs, and construction documentation.
• Provide geotechnical input to multidisciplinary teams and support innovative, data driven solutions.
• Mentor junior staff in field methods, analysis techniques, and safety practices.
• Build strong client relationships through responsive, reliable engineering advice.
• Support quality assurance processes, project coordination, and continuous improvement in geotechnical practice.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Bachelor\'s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus.
• Registered, or eligible for registration, as a P.Eng. with EGBC.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Geotechnical or Geological Engineer.
• Valid Canadian driver\'s license.
• Solid intermediate level consulting experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Strong analytical abilities and proven project management capability.
• Demonstrated success delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
• Familiarity with geotechnical software such as GeoStudio, Rocscience, or similar.
• Experience interpreting soil and rock conditions, laboratory data, and construction requirements.
• Willingness to work on project sites as required.
• Ability to critically assess and validate geotechnical analysis outputs.

Compensation

• AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 - $118,900
• MB & ON: $81,900 - $112,800
• NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 - $107,700
