Qualifications

We're seeking an Intermediate Gameplay Developer to join our team working on our flagship math MMO game, utilized by 7 million students monthly. In this role, you'll have the chance to influence the way millions of students engage with math through gaming, enriching both their learning and enjoyment. You'll contribute to creating engaging online math experiences where students embark on quests, level up, and collect virtual pets, all while learning from an extensive range of 1500 math topics.

Your Impact
  • Develop new or make improvements to game systems and tooling

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure codebase quality, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the development of team best practises

  • Test code rigorously to identify and resolve bugs, delivering reliable and polished features

  • Collaborate with product owners, designers and artists to bring game concepts to life.

About You
  • You have a sincere love for gaming and bring at least 3 years of experience in game development or equivalent experience in web development

  • You're equally as proficient in both building upon existing code and creating new systems.

  • You are a proactive learner who actively seeks out new technologies and willingly shares your knowledge with the team

  • Your communication skills are excellent, enabling effective teamwork and the ability to explain technical details to non-technical team members.

Bonus Points
  • Experience working on Live service games or RPGs

  • Experience with multiple commercial game engines or proprietary game engines
