Intermediate Fullstack Developer (ETL and Web) with SSIS and Node/React experience to work with a major retail client- 30141

Location: Mississauga - 5 days on site (Potential hybrid option: 2-3 days remote)

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Fullstack Developer for an immediate contract opportunity. This role offers a chance to leverage your expertise in data integration and modern web development, contributing to diverse projects and collaborating with multiple teams.

Role Overview:

• The successful candidate will focus primarily on ETL development (80%) using SSIS and Microsoft SQL Server, with a web development component (20%) utilizing React and Node.js. Responsibilities include creating and supporting ETL processes and web applications, participating in solution design, team collaboration, continuous improvement, and documentation.
• Looking for an engaged individual with strong communication skills who is proactive in sharing ideas and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL processes with SSIS (Visual Studio 2019) to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for data manipulation and reporting in MS-SQL.
• Develop and maintain web applications using React (v18) for frontend and Node.js (v18) with Express framework for backend.
• Provide technical expertise for solution design and system architecture.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ETL pipelines and web applications.
• Ensure code quality, adopt best practices, and support continuous integration/delivery.
• Contribute to technical documentation, including design specs, data flow diagrams, and user guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
• Participate in problem-solving, decision-making, and fostering innovation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in ETL and databases, specifically:
• Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS): proficiency with VS 2022, ability to develop and debug complex SSIS packages.
• SQL: strong skills in developing, optimizing, troubleshooting queries, and managing stored procedures.
• 3-5 years of web development experience, including:
• Node.js: experience with Node.js v20, proficiency with Express framework.
• React: experience with React v18, strong understanding of React Hooks, ExpressJS, and NestJS.
