We are currently looking for an Intermediate Environmental Professional to join our team in Environmental Assessment at our Halifax (Bedford) office.

Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  1. Project managing biophysical and permitting scopes of work for clients in various industries.
  2. Coordinating internal GHD environmental disciplines and external sub-consultants.
  3. Attending and presenting in client meetings.
  4. Coordinating and attending public consultation events (e.g., open houses, information sessions, meetings).
  5. Preparing environmental assessments, technical reports, and environmental discipline specific documentation.
  6. Preparing proposals for permitting and biophysical studies in Atlantic Canada.

What you will bring to the team:

  1. Bachelor degree in biology, environmental science, or a related discipline.
  2. 3-5 years project experience with a specific focus within the natural resource, mining and energy sectors (e.g., EA, mining company or mine projects, etc.).
  3. Experience in managing biophysical studies and permitting scopes in Atlantic Canada.
  4. Experience in all stages of the project life-cycle, from preparing bids, field work oversight, to data analysis and reporting.
  5. Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.
  6. Past experience in biophysical work to support contaminated sites programs is a benefit.
  7. Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
