This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
  • Environmental Impact Assessment: Carry out environmental impact assessments, delivering on assigned tasks to ensure comprehensive evaluation.
  • Solutions Analysis: Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents.
  • Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Preparation: Collaborate in the preparation of proposals and business development.
  • Client & Customer Management (External): Manage relationships with small clients while also helping senior colleagues manage relationships with larger key clients and customers.
  • Project Management: Track and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and interface with clients.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve them, escalating serious issues as appropriate.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor degree in biology, environmental science, or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years project experience with a specific focus within the natural resource, mining and energy sectors (e.g., EA, mining company or mine projects, etc.)
  • Experience in managing biophysical studies and permitting scopes in Atlantic Canada.
  • Experience in all stages of the project life-cycle, from preparing bids, field work oversite, to data analysis and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
  • Past experience in biophysical work to support contaminated sites programs is a benefit.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle;
