Your Opportunity

Dillon’s Contaminant Assessment & Management discipline is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Professional (Engineer/Geoscientist) to join our multidisciplinary team. You will work on exciting projects, providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

The successful candidate can be based at our St. John’s, Newfoundland office. We offer flexible work hours and hybrid work arrangements to help balance work and personal life.

Responsibilities
What your day will look like
Project Management & Implementation
  • Manage contaminated sites projects in Atlantic Canada, including Phase I, II & III ESAs, hydrogeological investigations, sampling programs, and remediation projects. Additional responsibilities may include hazardous materials assessments, risk assessments, solid waste management, and industrial air quality.
  • Prepare and review reports, contracts, and supporting documents.
  • Manage health and safety plans, coordinate field programs, and build relationships with clients, regulators, service providers, and stakeholders.
  • Understand environmental regulations applicable to contaminated sites across various locations.
Field Activities
  • Supervise site activities, including technical and management tasks in the field.
  • Conduct environmental site assessments and remediation projects.
  • Train junior staff and conduct fieldwork in urban and remote locations across Canada.
Business Development
  • Respond to RFPs and develop client relationships.
  • Identify new business opportunities in both private and public sectors.
Learning & Development
  • Commit to ongoing professional development.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Participate in professional associations and committees.
