Job summary

FLINT Corp. is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Professional to design work plans for contaminated sites, coordinate subcontractors, manage projects, and report on site characterization and remediation in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Travel for field-based projects is expected as part of the role. You should have 5+ years in environmental consulting, a degree or diploma in environmental science/engineering, and a valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in environmental science/engineering or a related field, with a valid Class 5 Driver's License and eligibility for professional designation.
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta and Saskatchewan environmental regulations, with field skills in soil characterization, groundwater monitoring, and sampling.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and collaborate across organizations.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, proactive initiative, and the capacity to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and design work plans for contaminated sites and report on site characterization/remediation.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, manage projects, and progress environmental assessments (Phase 1/2) and reclamation activities.
  • Maintain organization, tracking, reporting, and preparation of environmental reports.
  • Uphold both corporate and client safety programs on site.

Job Description

As an Intermediate Environmental Professional, you will collaborate with clients and staff to design work plans for contaminated sites, coordinate subcontractors, manage projects, and report on site characterization and remediation. You will have 5+ years of relevant consulting experience, particularly in Alberta and Saskatchewan Oil and Gas sector, and a diploma or degree in environmental science or a related field. This role involves travel for field-based projects.

What would you be doing?

  • Experience coordinating and executing remediation programs, including Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments, remediation, and soil/groundwater treatment and monitoring.
  • Proven ability to manage reclamation programs, including small and large-scale surface reclamation and Detailed Site Assessments.
  • Strong skills in organization, tracking, reporting, and technical preparation of environmental reports.
  • Ability to implement and adhere to corporate and client safety programs.
