Role description:
Arcadis Canada is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join our Environmental Team in Canada. This position will be based out of British Columbia. Travel to sites throughout the region will be required and there is an opportunity to travel across Canada.
This role sits within the Global Resilience Business Area. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Around the world, we’re feeling the effects of climate change, rapid urbanization, and loss of biodiversity. The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires is becoming more frequent. Role accountabilities:
As an Intermediate Environmental Scientist/Engineer, you will work with Project Managers to coordinate and execute activities pertaining to the execution of environmental projects including data gap reviews, phase I and II environmental site assessments, and remediation projects. This role includes coordinating and conducting site visits and inspections, monitoring and supervising drilling and/or remediation activities, preparing field notes, collecting soil and groundwater samples, and writing environmental reports.
