Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer - Mining, Minerals and Metals. Our team includes world-class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver electrical engineering services that meet Worley, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Perform electrical engineering services such as:
    o Identify and report changes to project scope.
    o Assist with the preparation of proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedules.
    o Provide assistance during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, including writing requisitions, conducting technical bid evaluations, and writing purchase orders.
    o Contribute to appropriate studies, analyses, and recommend actions.
    o Assist with the preparation of detailed designs, drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering.
  • Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team, GID (Global Integrated Delivery) team, and project stakeholders, including the customer.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
  • Interpret client specifications.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other disciplines.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and Mining standards to support engineering deliverables.
  • Work within the provisions and guidelines of the Worley Quality Assurance system.

What you will bring:

Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Several years of relevant MMM experience, with progressive growth within your discipline.
  • Experience in the Minerals and Metals industry is necessary.
  • Surface and U/G Mining experience, including shaft sinking and subsurface utilities.
  • Previous site experience is an asset.
  • Strong technical and practical engineering skills, with the ability to deliver quality, accurate, and timely work.
  • Knowledge of fundamental electrical engineering requirements and basic understanding of other engineering fields.
  • Familiarity with applicable local and international standards and regulatory specifications.
  • Proficient in electrical engineering software and relevant tools like MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in the same or similar industry.
  • Team player with excellent organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering or Applied Science.
  • P. Eng (BC) designation preferred or in the process of registration.

Salary range for applicants in British Columbia: $85,430.00 to $127,508.00.
