Job description

Location: Montreal, Quebec

Our Client is an innovator in Green Tech, working with solar, home electrical, and EV. They are very well funded and expanding rapidly over the next 12-24 months. This is a great opportunity to grow with them as they scale.

Reporting to the CMO, the Ecommerce Lead is responsible for all online digital marketing efforts, overseeing performance marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats to drive sales, engagement, retention, leads, and transactions. The individual is an expert in client acquisition, funnel development, channel optimization, segmentation, localization, analytics, and measurement. The role involves collaboration with departments such as public relations, content, business development, customer experience, IT, and human resources to define campaign strategies and business needs.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Define the vision, projections, roadmap, and overall eCommerce D2C strategy.
  2. Oversee paid media and performance channels using internal and external resources (paid search, media placements, paid social, SEO, CRM, UX/UI, Merchandising, Conversion rate optimization).
  3. Build and oversee the eCommerce roadmap from a business and technological perspective.
  4. Collaborate with Content, Experience, Service, and Technology teams to deliver website features and improvements.
  5. Manage external partners such as agencies and technology providers.
  6. Lead and manage a fast-growing team.
  7. Define and prioritize KPIs to manage eCommerce operations.
  8. Track performance, report to stakeholders, and develop action plans to improve ROI.
  9. Share best practices and act as a thought leader internally.

Must Have Skills
  • Experience managing large eCommerce budgets (minimum $1M annually).
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • Deep understanding of Martech, traffic acquisition, CRO, and eCommerce best practices.
  • Proven 7+ years of eCommerce experience.
  • Experience leveraging automation in user acquisition strategies.
  • Strong understanding of performance modeling and analytics.
  • Experience in electric vehicles, solar, or energy management industries is an asset.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
