Role description:

The Intermediate Drainage Designer will design drainage and stormwater management systems for major infrastructure projects in Ontario. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions and designs.

Role accountabilities:

This role will be responsible for designing and development of effective drainage and stormwater management systems for infrastructure projects. You will work closely with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders to integrate drainage systems into broader project designs, conduct field inspections and assessments to ensure the quality and functionality of drainage systems, and prepare detailed technical drawings, and specifications for drainage projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering or a related field. Engineering diploma or CET can be considered, based on relevant experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in drainage design, grading and stormwater measures, with a focus on infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads), and GIS applications
• Design experience with drainage area maps, storm sewers and appurtenances/elements related with stormwater
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $117,00. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
