Job Summary: Comfab Aluminum is expanding its BIM team and is hiring a BIM Specialist. The ideal candidate is passionate and experienced in BIM development and modeling, focusing on creating shop drawings, MTOs, and fabrication drawings for commercial curtain wall systems using Revit.

Qualifications:

• A University Degree or Technology Diploma in Architecture, BIM, Engineering, Design, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with Revit modeling, Revit families, and data management.
• 2-5 years of drafting experience with strong 2D AutoCAD skills.
• Experience in Curtain Wall systems is a strong asset.
• Experience with Revit Dynamo is a strong asset.
• Experience with Bluebeam, BIM 360, Inventor is an asset.
• Detail-oriented with high attention to accuracy and work ownership.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed curtain wall Revit models, families, schedules, and sheets, maintaining high QC standards.
• Assist in Revit project setup.
• Prepare shop drawings, material take-offs, and fabrication releases for curtain wall projects using AutoCAD and Revit, based on architectural and structural drawings.
• Conduct internal reviews of shop drawings and fabrication releases with senior team members to ensure constructability.
• Modify and revise designs and drawings to address deficiencies or incorporate instructions.
• Translate site information into shop and fabrication drawings.
• Ensure accuracy in own work and review others' work.
• Participate in converting existing company standards and details to Revit.
• Maintain family libraries and revision logs.
• Assist in maintaining CAD/BIM standards and guides.
• Participate in testing and deployment of company BIM R&D projects.
• Perform other duties as required by the department.
