Key Responsibilities

The Intermediate Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality construction and permit drawings while supporting senior designers and engineers. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work across project teams.

Design Documentation

  • Prepare 2D and 3D drawings for discipline-specific elements of a project
  • Develop design layouts, sections, and details under engineer guidance
  • Apply relevant codes and drawing standards consistently
  • Review and incorporate markups from senior staff

Coordination & Support

  • Work closely with project teams to ensure alignment across disciplines
  • Communicate with engineers to clarify design requirements
  • Assist in maintaining electronic drawing files and templates

Drawing Quality Control

  • Ensure completeness and clarity of all drafted documentation
  • Participate in internal design reviews
  • Make drawing revisions based on feedback
  • Actively participate in improving and advancing design templates, details, and specifications

Construction Support

  • Update record drawings and As-Builts during construction
  • Assist with revisions due to RFIs or site changes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of industry experience
  • Strong working knowledge and experience using Civil 3D
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple ongoing projects/tasks
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Teams)
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
  • Effective communication skills (English), both verbal and written
  • French is an asset
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
