Intermediate Civil CAD Designer

Location – Mississauga, ON

Your role within the team:

Typical duties and essential functions will include but not be limited to the preparation, design, modification, coordination, and/or review of the following:

• Prepare models and drawings in Tekla, AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
• Follow client driven file management system for document storage.
• Prepare engineering deliverables for both nuclear and conventional systems in accordance withAtkinsRéalis Nuclear Inc. / Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs and project requirements.
• Apply relevant Codes & Standards and regulatory requirements and coordinate with design team to ensure the compliances.
• Interface with Engineering teams, throughout the lifecycle of the design project (i.e., from preliminary and conceptual engineering to detailed design, implementation and close-out) to provide practical and effective solutions as per requirements.
• Must be “Team” oriented with a demonstrated ability to work well with other and promote a positive work environment.

• College diploma or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 5 years in civil/structural design and drafting.
• Working knowledge in Tekla, AutoCAD, Micro Station.
• Ability to take marked up engineering drawings and incorporates changes into AutoCAD files.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff in a team environment as well as independently.
