Intermediate Buyer

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented professional looking to make an impact? SolutionAir is seeking an Intermediate Buyer to take ownership of the purchasing lifecycle, forecast demand, and foster strong supplier relationships. You’ll play a key role in driving cost savings, improving efficiency, and ensuring timely deliveries in a fast-paced environment. If you’re a strategic thinker with a passion for procurement and thrive in a collaborative, results-driven atmosphere, we want you on our team!

The Successful Candidate's Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing the full purchasing lifecycle for parts and raw materials, ensuring seamless integration into production.
  • Analyzing market trends and demand to forecast procurement needs aligned with business goals.
  • Maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and optimize performance.
  • Implementing cost-reduction strategies while maintaining quality and timelines.
  • Monitoring inventory turnover to support efficiency and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align purchasing activities with operational needs.
  • Negotiating favorable contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best value.
  • Evaluating supplier performance and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Managing inventory levels and purchase orders to support production without disruptions.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Inventory Management, Procurement, or a related field, or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong business and technical expertise with the ability to develop collaborative solutions.
  • A detail-oriented, organized approach with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts.
  • Experience with Syteline or a comparable MRP system.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills to liaise across departments and management levels.
  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on driving positive change.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with knowledge of lean manufacturing processes.
