Job Description:

The goal of the bank's Capital Markets business is to be the premier client-focused Capital Markets provider in Canada. The capital markets arm offers credit, capital markets, investment banking, merchant banking, and research products and services to government, institutional, corporate, and retail clients in Canada and globally.

Client Management Services (CMS) is responsible for onboarding direct clients, funds, shared clients, and broker counterparties for the Capital Markets lines of business, managing a robust client lifecycle process. The team handles end-to-end client onboarding activities, including data collection, validation, and maintenance throughout the client lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.

The role reports to the Director and involves executing or facilitating client onboarding for various client types and supporting strategic initiatives under leadership of the Executive Director and/or Head of Client Service & Data Management.

Must Have Requirements:
  • Experience in Client Onboarding, Trade Control, Trade Desk Support, or Operations, preferably in Capital Markets.
  • 3-5 years experience for Analyst level.
  • 5-7 years experience for Associate level.
  • Experience working with Capital Markets clients and products across Sales/Trading, Lending, and Advisory services.
  • Familiarity with institutional clients (e.g., Asset Managers, Insurance Companies, Pensions, Sovereign Wealth Funds).
  • Knowledge of AML/KYC, taxation, and regulatory reporting (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MiFID, IIROC).
  • Proficiency in intermediate Excel functions, including working with large data sets, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts, and data organization for analysis.
Nice to Have:
  • University degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
  • Similar experience within another financial institution.
