Job summary

Intact is seeking an intermediate-to-senior automated test developer to help build and maintain a Selenium-based testing framework in a Guidewire BillingCenter environment.

You will design and execute automated tests, guide teams on best practices, and contribute to evolving testing processes within a large-scale transformation across Canada.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience with Selenium and TestNG.
• At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance and test automation.
• At least 5 years of experience with modern Java (Java 17+) and Spring.
• Bilingual in English and French to interact across the country.
• Eligible to work in Canada (no Canadian work experience required).

Responsibilities

• Define test plans, scenarios and scripts for new features.
• Develop and execute automated tests.
• Provide guidance on Selenium usage.
• Enhance the application framework with new features.
• Collaborate with manual QA, developers and business analysts.

Salary range (but not limited to):

74,800 - 91,400

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

7.5%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. We are looking for an intermediate-to-senior automated test developer who is passionate about software quality and test automation. You will contribute to the design and implementation of an automated testing framework based on Selenium, Java and TestNG, within the Guidewire BillingCenter environment.

What you’ll do here:

• Define test plans, scenarios and scripts related to new features developed by the team.
• Develop and execute automated tests.
• Provide guidance on the use of Selenium.
• Add features to the application framework.
• Provide guidance on industry best practices.
• Analyze and manage issues.
• Contribute to the evolution of our testing practices.
• Estimate testing efforts.
• Collaborate with manual quality assurance testers, developers and business analysts.
• Build strong relationships with development and product teams to understand our product and all its intricacies.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and add new scenarios.

What you bring to the table:

• At least 3 years of experience with Selenium and TestNG.
• At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance and test automation.
• At least 5 years of experience and strong knowledge of modern versions of Java (Java 17+) and Spring.
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Bilingualism. Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

Assets:

• Experience with Cucumber, JMeter and/or Git.
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
• ISTQB® certification.
• Knowledge of the Gosu programming language.
• Experience integrating automated tests into a continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of the billing and collections domain.
• Experience with Guidewire.
• A committed, open-minded, autonomous team player motivated by success.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to synthesize information.
