Job summary

Intact is seeking a Senior Software Developer for the Data Security Project to join a growing team in Canada. The role focuses on analyzing system and coding needs, translating requirements into robust software solutions, and collaborating across teams to ensure high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities include developing, testing, and debugging, implementing design reviews, and supporting complex components while maintaining deadlines.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8 years of development experience.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize data.
• Initiative and ability to work under pressure.
• Team-oriented with strong attention to detail.
• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required.
• Eligible to work in Canada (no Canadian work experience required).

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug programs under supervision.
• Master system features and explain them to colleagues and users.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications/components.
• Organize and manage production sessions and code reviews.
• Ensure design and modeling meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop and support complex components and modules.
• Guide project team to ensure code quality and deadlines.
• Write unit and integration tests for developed functions.
• Contribute to regression testing for stability of components.
• Provide level-1 support and resolve complex anomalies.

Salary Range (but Not Limited To)

101,800 - 124,400

Annual Bonus Target, Based On The Base Salary, With a Potential Payout Of Up To Double The Target (subject To Personal And Company Performance)

About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer, Data Security Project to join our growing team!

What You’ll Do Here

• Perform analyses of system and coding needs to identify the problems encountered and propose solutions including program specifications.
• Develop system specifications, code, modify, test and debug computer programs under general supervision, in accordance with established planning and deadlines.
• Master the technical and business features of the system to be able to explain them to other colleagues, while interacting effectively with users.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications / software components.
• Organize and manage production sessions.
• Ensure the design and modeling of programmatic solutions for complex problems achieving documented functional and non-functional requirements.
• Review design as part of deliverables (Code and Design Quality).
• Develop and support complex components.
• Support and guide the project team in development activities to ensure the quality of the code delivered while meeting project deadlines.
• Write unit and integration tests for each function in which development is required.
• Participate in the implementation of regression testing strategies to improve the stability of the application components.
• Provide support and maintenance (level 1) for the application and resolve complex anomalies.

What You Bring To The Table

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
• 8 years of development experience.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize data.
• Initiative and ability to work under pressure.
• Can work in a team and detail oriented.
• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
