Job summary

Zeidler Architecture in Calgary seeks an Intermediate Architectural Technologist to lead detailed design and coordination across project phases. You will prepare permit and construction documentation, coordinate with internal and external teams, and ensure compliance with project delivery standards.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years in architectural offices, strong Revit/AutoCAD skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in an in-office Calgary studio.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in an architectural office.
  • Architectural Technologist Diploma or related discipline required.
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with Revizto, Bluebeam, SketchUp, and Navisworks is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and produce drawing sets for permit and construction documentation using Revit.
  • Review and contribute to the accuracy and quality of technical drawings and coordination.
  • Perform building code analyses and prepare compliance reports.

We arecurrently seeking an Intermediate Technologist to join our Calgary Studio.

Job Summary

The Intermediate Architectural Technologist is responsiblefor leading the preparation of detailed design and construction documentationwhile coordinating with internal and external teams. This role builds onfoundational technical knowledge and contributes to project delivery acrossvarious building types and project phases.

Key Responsibilities
Design + Documentation
  • Leadand produce drawing sets for permit and construction documentation usingRevit.
  • Reviewand contribute to the accuracy and quality of technical drawings andcoordination.
  • Performbuilding code analyses and prepares compliance reports.
  • Conductresearch on products, materials, and systems to inform technicaldetailing.
Project Support + Coordination
  • Reporton project progress to the Project Manager or Job Captain.
  • Coordinateinput from subconsultants under guidance from senior staff.
  • Liaisewith clients and municipal authorities as requested.
  • Supportsubmission processes for municipal approvals.
  • Ensureall work aligns with the firm’s Project Delivery standards, includingproper use of filing systems, adherence to architectural procedures, andcompliance with drawing and documentation protocols.
Team + Culture
  • Provideguidance to junior team members and support their technical growth.
  • Promotea collaborative team environment while working independently whenrequired.
  • Maintaincompliance with internal QA/QC, project filing, and documentationstandards.
  • Adhereto all company health and safety procedures and contribute to aproductive, team-oriented office culture.
  • Ableto work in a collaborative, in-office environment (100% in-office presencerequired to support direct team engagement and effective cross-functionalcoordination).
Qualifications
  • ArchitecturalTechnologist Diploma or related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • 5–10years of experience in an architectural office.
  • Proficientin Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with Revizto, Bluebeam, SketchUp, andNavisworks is an asset.
  • Strongknowledge of construction systems, detailing, and code compliance.
  • Effectivecommunication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Abilityto coordinate multidisciplinary teams and contribute to project deliverygoals.
