Job description

Our client is well-known in the industry, and they want you to be one of their Senior Underwriters for one of their P&C teams.

What you will be doing:

  1. Lead underwriting decisions on new business and renewals, including pricing and policy terms.
  2. Grow existing book of business and develop new broker relationships through networking and market visits.
  3. Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to management.
  4. Participate in industry events, broker meetings, and product development initiatives.
  5. Train and mentor junior underwriters and provide underwriting sign-off as needed.

What we are looking for:

  1. Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  2. Proven ability to work independently and as a team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  4. Proven track record of building successful broker relationships.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Level 1 General Insurance license.
  7. Professional designation preferred (CAIB, CIP, CRM, FCIP or in progress).
