Intermediate or Senior Accountant
Are you an intermediate accountant working towards a CPA designation or a Senior Accountant with a CPA designation? Do you have initiative, an eagerness to learn, grow, and thrive doing meaningful accounting work?
Are you looking to take that next step in your career, one that will give you independence and the chance to work directly with clients to provide a personalized approach to their diverse financial needs?
Look no further.
We are Olsen Joly LLP, and since 1981, our team of professional accountants has been helping businesses and individuals meet their accounting and taxation needs.
Our successful business has been built on expert knowledge, personalized guidance, and one-on-one consultations. We get to know our clients in a meaningful way that big firms cannot.
We are looking for both an intermediate and senior accountant to join our team. Olsen Joly LLP is expanding, offering significant growth opportunities and room for advancement.
Responsibilities
As our new intermediate accountant, your primary responsibility will be to support our clients by evaluating their current financial situation and business results, ensuring the accuracy of their financial data. You will prepare compilation and review engagements, assist with tax planning and preparation—including corporate and personal tax returns—and liaise with the government and CRA on behalf of our clients where necessary.
As our new senior accountant, your primary responsibility will be similar but involve preparing complex compilation and review engagements, assisting with advanced tax planning and preparation, and developing, motivating, and training team members.
Your industry knowledge is valuable, but what will set you apart is the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients. As you grow, you'll take on more advanced consultative duties, understanding clients' individual needs, and genuinely seeking to improve and add value to their businesses. You will become a trusted advisor, guiding their decisions and helping transition their business into the future.
