About the department: University Advancement fosters connections with alumni, donors, and partners to support the University's mission through philanthropy, engagement, and partnerships.

Position purpose:

The incumbent supports fundraising and engagement efforts by researching prospects, tracking donor movement, analyzing metrics, and developing tools for data visibility. Responsibilities include managing prospect data, training staff, and preparing reports to inform strategy.

In this role, you will:

  • Prospect management and research: Coordinate meetings to review prospect strategies, conduct high-level research, and monitor pipelines for strategic insights.
  • Pipeline Management and research: Track activities, identify new prospects through data analysis, and optimize pipeline growth.
  • Prospect and research management Tools: Develop tools to support pipeline management and prospect tracking.
  • Training: Provide system and reporting training to staff.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on pipeline health and prospect activity, including dashboards and performance indicators.
  • Records management: Maintain confidential records, ensure data integrity, and suggest system improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on prospect research strategies and integrate best practices.
  • Other duties: Support prospect management efforts as needed.

What you will bring:

  • Degree in library sciences, information management, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience in advancement research, prospect management, or fundraising in higher education or non-profit sectors.
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and computer skills, with experience in database analysis and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of development and major gifts fundraising, prospect screening methodologies, and data mining.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive approach.
  • Knowledge of PIPEDA and experience providing bilingual training are assets.
