We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time Intermediate Accountant. This would be a great opportunity for a passionate and motivated professional who possesses strong analytical skills and values teamwork. The ideal candidate would be an accounting graduate, studying towards their CPA, with 1-3 years of experience with high-volume Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. You will take ownership of the day-to-day process and strive to provide transparency and accuracy in WCE’s financial data. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will provide support to the accounting team to meet operational and reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Managing Full Cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Monthly bank reconciliation
  • Monthly working papers and account reconciliations
  • Support year-end audit and month-end closing activities
  • Contribute to producing monthly financial statements
  • Design and implement internal controls, improve processes to support Western Coast Enterprise Ltd.’s future growth
  • Other projects as assigned from time to time
Qualifications
  • Eligible status to work in Canada
  • Working towards or completed CPA designation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Multi-currency experience
  • Experience using QuickBooks Enterprise is a plus
