Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen as an Intermediate Accountant reporting to the Finance Manager. This role will be responsible for end-to-end accounts payable management, credit card administration, key month-end close activities, and supporting daily financial operations. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, adherence to company policies, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable & Vendor Management: Process invoices accurately and timely, monitor payment runs and due dates, perform monthly reconciliations, and support audits.
  • Corporate Credit Card & Expense Administration: Manage credit card reconciliations, review and approve expense reports.
  • Month-End Close & General Accounting: Prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, assist with variance analysis, and support financial reporting.
  • Banking & Daily Transactions: Perform bank reconciliations, assist with payments and transaction postings.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Support projects, process improvements, and provide financial analysis for decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, with exposure to AP and month-end close.
  • Understanding of accounting principles (experience with IFRS/ASPE is a plus).
  • Proficiency with ERPs (SAP, Oracle, D365) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with corporate credit card and expense management platforms.
  • Familiarity with multi-entity or multinational processes.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Experience in fast-paced or high-growth environments.
