We are currently seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our high-performing accounting team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level accounting professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is ready to take ownership of financial responsibilities related to complex construction project portfolios.

This position offers a unique chance to be involved in the financial aspects of transformative real estate projects. You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on project budgets, supporting monthly close cycles, and providing accurate financial data to support smart business decisions.

The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, proactive, and detail-oriented—someone who understands their numbers and diligently ensures financial integrity at every step. If you value diligence, trust, and high performance, we would like to meet you.

In addition to core accounting duties, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and entering journal entries accurately.
  • Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, mortgage interest, and cash distributions, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Reconciliation of sub-ledgers and preparing documentation for reviews and audits.
  • Assisting with intercompany allocations, cost tracking, and capital expenditure monitoring. Creating invoices, tracking collections, and recording inter-company billings accurately.
  • Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Organizing documents for audits.
  • Providing additional support such as financial data collection, ad hoc reporting, and team assistance as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in real estate.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting software like QuickBooks or similar.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

We are a small, dynamic team that values collaboration and support. This role requires a hands-on, team-oriented individual who can help build a positive work environment and support our collective success.

Our team works in-office five days a week, with occasional travel to construction sites. Flexibility for irregular hours is necessary to meet deadlines, but we also respect work/life balance.

We are committed to diversity and equal opportunity. All employment decisions are based on business needs, job requirements, and individual qualifications, without regard to race, color, religion, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other protected statuses.
