Title: Intermediate Account Executive
Reports to: Managing Director
Based at: 135 Michael Cowpland, Suite 110, Kanata, ON K2M2E9
Job Purpose: To further develop PureSpitIT's client base within strategic accounts. The Account Manager, experienced in a VAR environment, will leverage existing contacts to sell to government and enterprise accounts. Responsibilities include driving new business, developing existing clients, following up on leads, and other sales activities.
Responsibilities / Activities:
- Utilize existing industry contacts to generate new business for PureSpitIT.
- Lead, share experiences, or train team members to ensure a successful sales team.
- Provide outstanding customer service to all clients and partners.
- Build and execute business plans with specific targets.
- Achieve sales targets in collaboration with the Managing Director.
- Deliver sales presentations to high-level executives and work with the Managing Director to meet client requirements.
- Participate in client meetings proactively, focusing on outcomes.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients.
- Complete administrative tasks as required.
- Continuously learn about government procedures.
- Collaborate with Inside Sales and System Engineers to determine solutions that meet client needs.
- Cold call to book direct sales meetings.
- Identify target verticals and pre-qualify potential clients with the Managing Director.
- Partner with Inside Sales on run-rate opportunities.
- Manage weekly forecasts using PureSpirIT's forecasting tools.
- Develop account plans for targeted accounts.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings, company events, and marketing campaigns.
- Acquire and maintain technical knowledge of products and services.
- Participate in training sessions, both locally and occasionally travel.
- Build relationships with manufacturers and understand their business.
- Demonstrate passion for sales and supporting client needs.
Skills and Attributes:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant IT industry experience.
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
- Existing contacts within Shared Service or Government Organizations.
- Knowledge of Government procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Team player with strong organizational, judgment, and leadership skills.
- Quick problem-solving skills benefiting both company and customer.
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP, CRM, or Accounting Software is an asset.
- Quick learner with attention to detail.
- Excellent mathematical skills and data retention.
