IUPAT District Council 38 (DC38) represents skilled tradespeople across British Columbia and the Yukon, including painters, glaziers, drywall finishers, and interior systems mechanics (Lathers). As part of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, DC38 is committed to excellence in craftsmanship, safety, and fair wages for its members.
Our Lathers are highly trained professionals who play a crucial role in shaping the interior structure of commercial, institutional, and residential buildings. Whether installing steel studs, drywall, or suspended ceilings, our members ensure every system meets the highest industry standards. Position Overview:
We’re currently working with one of our signatory contractors in the wall and ceiling industry who is actively looking to hire experienced Steel Stud Framers (Lather), Interior Systems Mechanics.
This position offers a full benefits package, including health and welfare benefits and a pension plan. While a Red Seal Lather certification is considered an asset, it is not mandatory for consideration.
