Interior Designer – Technical Focus (Office Furniture Design & Coordination)

Overview:

We are a North American-based office furniture company seeking anInterior Designerwith astrong technical skillsetto support our team in bringing custom furniture projects to life. This role is ideal for someone with a background in interior design who excels intechnical drawings,project coordination, andvendor communication.

This is anin-office position located in Brantford, ON. Our business hours areMonday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PMandFriday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accuratetechnical furniture drawingsusingAutoCAD,CET Designer, or similar tools.
  • Develop and maintainproject workback schedulesusingAsana.
  • Coordinate withvendorsto confirm specifications, finishes, and production details.
  • Support thesales teamwith layouts, drawings, finish packages, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure design deliverables are organized, accurate, and ready for internal and external review.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diplomain Interior Design or a related field.
  • Minimum3-5 years of experiencein interior design with a focus ontechnical drawingsandcommercial or furniture-related projects.
  • Proficiency inAutoCAD(required);CET Designeris a strong asset.
  • Experience withproject management toolssuch as Asana.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple design tasks with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work full-time, in-office, Monday to Friday.
  • Ateam playerwho is comfortable supporting multiple people and projects at once.

Nice to Haves:
